There is something that holds us up, a mystical buoyancy under all our problems. Our job is to trust and surrender to it.

The gift of deepening is that the heart opens us to a spacious state of being where we feel the pulse of life. Such deepening can rearrange everything.

The mystic Joel Goldsmith points to the many gifts of love. “Love is the ability of the Beloved in me to recognize and bear witness to the Beloved in you.”

Rumi ignites the fire of love for us. “Love is a fire and I am wood. It is the fire of love that inspires the flute and the ferment of love that completes the wine.”

Jeff Foster lifts us up this week. “Discover the deep YES to your life, no matter what you’re going through. Today is the only day you’ll ever truly live.”

Thich Nhat Hanh inspires this week’s talk. “For love to be true, it must contain compassion, joy, and equanimity and the practice of the Four Immeasurable Minds.

It has been said that the only one who wants change is a baby with a dirty diaper. Although we resist necessary change, it is heartening to realize it is possible.

We ask the question “Who am I?”  From this, we return to a hidden wholeness that is our true nature.  Arriving home in this place of Truth, we initiate real change within and without.

When we awaken to our interconnectedness, we are called to serve what is whole amidst the chaos.  As we live in the questions, we can start with, “What’s still true?” The clarity begins to strengthen as we transform anger into courage, sadness into compassion, and confusion into resolve. We belong together.

Hope is the energy of life shining through the obstacles we are facing.  As hope awakens we discover grace and freedom unveil themselver anew.
